Aquasize in Paradise - Kauai

Aquasize in Paradise (Splash Class) – Kauai, Hawaii

Looking for a fun, low impact, exercise activity on Kauai? Try Aquasize in Paradise for some water aerobics. The buoyancy of the water makes the workout much easier on the joints, and you will meet some friendly locals and guests in the process.

The hour long class includes a warm up, cardio, strength training exercises, balance and stretch. It is a multilevel class, with modifications suggested for people who have knee, back or shoulder problems. All fitness levels are welcome. The pool is heated and salt cleaned.

Carol Arreola is the instructor. She is certified with the Aquatics Exercise Association and CPR certified. She supplies great music, Styrofoam tubes and barbells, webbed gloves and a lot of enthusiasm. “One of the wonderful things about leading the class is the fun it brings to the participants and the friendships that are made. A great way to start the day.”

Is Aquasize a good workout?

“Compared to swimming, aqua fitness classes are considered to be a better all-round exercise because they use a greater variety of muscles. You won’t burn as many calories as with running, but the calorie burning is still considerable – about the same as brisk walking or a low-impact aerobics class.”
