Kauai Events for December and January – Anaina Hou – Hawaii

Anaina Hou, home of the Kilauea Mini Golf and Porter Pavilion, continues to host Kauai events for residents and travelers alike. We are lucky to have this venue on the north shore. Following are the events scheduled for the rest of December and January. Come join the fun!

Every Wednesday (Except Christmas) – Ahi Lele Luau Fire Show

Fire Dancing, Storytelling, and the Exhilarating Beat of Polynesian Drumming. Every Wednesday at Anaina Hou Porter Pavilion. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Arrive early to reserve your seats. Seating is limited and the show does sell out, so book your tickets in advance.

Friday, December 20th

Live music from Kauai Voices – Ohana Holiday Concert! This is a locally popular, 50+member auditioned choral ensemble who entertain with group and solo performances, accompanied by musicians (led by Monica Chung, a world-class pianist).  Food trucks on site. Happy Hour from 5:00 to 7:00 pm; Live music from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. It’s free!

Friday, December 27th

Live music by The Roundhouse Ramblers!  This bluegrass band was formed in 2015, and has quickly become a favorite in the live music scene on Kauai. Each member brings their own personal musical background to this group, giving it a full and unique sound. Food trucks on site. Happy Hour from 5:00 to 7:00 pm; Live music from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. It’s free!

Trivia Night! Generally the first Friday of the month is Trivia Night at Anaina Hou. Get in the game just for fun, or get competitive and bring your trivia expert friends and family to win the ultimate bragging rights! Tables may be reserved here. It’s free!

Friday, January 17th

Live music by Swampdaddy and the Rhythm Kings as well as Johnny Burgin. Swampdaddy is Hawaii’s premiere Blues/Rock jam band. These seasoned veteran musicians have come together to form an improvisational blues/rock based quartet of exceptional power and expertise. They are, Kevin “Swampdaddy” Rogers on Harmonica and vocals, Daniel Parslow on Lead Guitar and vocals, Pancho Graham on Bass and vocals, & Conrad Mathews on Drums. Their experience ranges from honky tonks to world tours, from session work to full album releases, 100+ years between them.

Saturday, January 18th

Kauai Voices (See December 20th description) – A “mixed plate” concert. These local singers have been rehearsing since September to bring you a variety of songs from 5 different genres: Jazz, Blues, Country, Gospel and Hawaiian. There will be group and sole performances with musical accompaniment.

Every Saturday – Farmers Market (9:00 – 1:00)

Every Day – Mini Golf and Botanical Gardens

This one-of-a-kind mini golf is 18 holes of pure fun surrounded by a Hawaiian Botanical Garden. Journey through the history of Hawaii and its tropical flora, while water hazards, pipe shots and other obstacles make for a fun and challenging game for all ages. The Par 47 mini golf course is ADA accessible.

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Last golfer starts at 5:00)
